FAQs
Frequently asked questions
Coverage, batteries, ratings, networks and what deployment actually involves.
Do Tagon tags need a SIM card?
No. The supplied product material describes Tagon tags as SIM card-free. A tag broadcasts over Bluetooth and nearby finder devices relay an encrypted location on to the cloud, so there is no data plan on each tag.
How long does a Tagon tag last?
It depends on the format. The single-trip Label runs for 40 days, the Pendant and Sticker Pro for 12 months, the Rugged for 30 months, the Card for 3 years and the Puck for 3–5 years.
What do the IP ratings mean in practice?
IP54 is protected against dust and splashing. IP65 and IP66 add protection against water jets. IP68 is dust-tight and protected against immersion — the rating to look for on anything that lives outdoors. The Slim and Disc formats are not IP rated and should stay inside something.
Do the tags work with Apple Find My?
The Slim (PB706), Disc (PB710) and the Find My accessory range work with Apple Find My. The Slim also supports Android Find Hub. The rest of the range reports through the Tagon platform.
Can Tagon data go into the system we already use?
Yes. The supplied material lists third-party API access, and integration with third-party platforms including Geotab and Gurtam.
What happens if a tagged item leaves the vehicle carrying it?
That is the tag disconnection alert. It is raised when a tagged unit and the vehicle it was travelling with separate.
Can I set an alert when an asset leaves a site?
Yes. Geo-fencing lets you draw a virtual boundary, with an alert triggered when it is crossed.
Can I see where an asset has been, not just where it is?
Yes. History playback replays an asset's movement, which is what makes route management and dwell analysis possible.
How many assets can we manage?
The platform is built for batch monitoring — the supplied material identifies bulk device management as a requirement for large-scale asset fleets. Talk to us with your asset count and we will size it.
Do you sell to businesses outside Saudi Arabia?
Yes. Tagon is built in Saudi Arabia and sells across the GCC and internationally. Tell us where your assets are and we will tell you what we can support.

Talk to Tagon
Tell us what you need to track.
Tell us about your assets, your operation and what you need visibility on. We will tell you which Tagon device fits and what a deployment looks like.
What to have ready
- What you need to track, and roughly how many
- Where those assets operate
- Indoors, outdoors, or both
- Any system the data needs to reach
That is usually enough for us to recommend a device and a deployment shape.
